Discipleship

Our goal is to make disciples, who make disciples, who make disciples ...

Discipleship

“And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age”” (Matthew 28:18–20).

Jesus Christ, the risen King, having destroyed the last enemy death gives this command to his people, “Go make disciples.” The Orchard Church is a family of missionary servants sent to make disciples of Jesus Christ. Discipleship is not a program; it is the commission of King Jesus. If we are not making disciples, then we are walking in disobedience.

Jesus tapped me on the shoulder and said, Bob, why are you resisting me? I said, I'm not resisting you! He said, You gonna follow me? I said, I've never thought about that before! He said, When you're not following me, you're resisting me. --Bob Dylan

The primary way we make disciples at The Orchard is through Orchard Groups.
