THE ORGANIZATION
The Orchard Church was established in 2010 with a mission-driven goal of reaching the Memphis area to impact the world. Over the last three years, our church's focus has shifted significantly to a heavy focus on discipleship. The Orchard Church has a prime location in Collierville, TN, positioned to reach the Memphis area with the message of God’s grace. The church has over 400 members, averaging 650 weekly attenders (including Kids & Students), and hundreds more online. With a $2.5 million budget, 9 FTEs, 7 PTEs, and 3-4 positions looking to be filled, the church is ready to move into the next season of Kingdom opportunity.

OPPORTUNITIES
- The Orchard has gone through a season of change yet remained steadfast and strong. We are now in a new season of growth, health, and stability, all by God’s grace. The need for a leader to help restructure and reconsider what our future looks like is one that we don’t take lightly. However, our mission is clear: to make disciples of Jesus Christ, according to Matthew 28:19. The Senior Pastor will fully submit to the plurality of the elders and will serve as one strong voice among the many voices of the elders. This leader will need to be wise and bold, yet gentle in his approach to foster a new structure for the Orchard’s future.
- Trust is not something that is established instantly. A new Senior Pastor at The Orchard must be highly intentional in building trust with our elders, staff, deacons, volunteers, and church members. This person should embody a shepherd mindset from Monday to Saturday, rather than adopting a polarizing approach solely on Sunday mornings. The Orchard Church is fortunate to have a talented staff skilled in biblical teaching. While teaching is a component of this shepherding role, the primary focus will be cultivating relationships and caring for "the flock among us."
- The Orchard is located in a well-funded area. There is a great need in the Collierville and Germantown area to shift the mindset surrounding cultural Christianity, where individuals attend church weekly, participate in services, check off a box, and then go about their week without a felt need to pray, engage with God’s Word, or pursue discipleship. The primary challenge here is to break free from the confines of cultural Christianity and place a stronger emphasis on discipleship. For us, discipleship extends beyond Sunday mornings; it represents a daily commitment to follow Christ, train others to follow Him, and teach them how to mentor others in this same journey.
