PRAY FOR OUR ELDERS
- WISDOM and GUIDANCE
- Pray for wisdom that comes from God as He leads and guides
- James 1:5 - "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."
- HUMILTY and SEEKING GOD
- Pray that the elders will continue to humble themselves before the Lord and seek His face.
- James 4:10 - "Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will life you up.
- Pray that the elders will continue to humble themselves before the Lord and seek His face.
PRAY FOR OUR STAFF
- FAITHFULNESS IN PRAYER
- Pray that God would help our Staff remain faithful in prayer for God’s church and our future pastor.
- Colossians 4:2 – "Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving."
- RENEWED STRENGTH
- Pray that the Staff would have renewed strength in their efforts to serve God’s body.
- 2 Thessalonians 3:13 – "But as for you, brethren, do not grow weary in doing good."
PRAY FOR THE CHURCH
- READINESS TO RECEIVE
- Pray that God would prepare our hearts to receive our new pastor with love and support.
- Romans 15:5-6 – "Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ."
- UNITY AND LOVE
- Pray for unity & love for one another as we navigate this transition period.
- Philippians 2:2 – "Fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind."
- PATIENCE and TRUST IN GOD'S TIMING
- Pray for patience and faith as we wait on God’s perfect timing. Pray that God would help us to trust in Him as we actively wait.
- Isaiah 40:31 – "But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."
PRAY FOR OUR FUTURE PASTOR
- STRENGTH FOR HIM AND HIS FAMILY
- Pray for your future pastor and his family to be strengthened by the grace of Jesus Christ.
- 2 Timothy 2:1 – "You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus."
- PREPARE HIS HEART
- Pray that God would prepare the heart of our future Pastor and equip them with wisdom, strength, and a shepherd’s heart to serve according to His will.
- Jeremiah 3:15 – "And I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding."
