Foster Care

Isaiah 117 House
Isaiah 117 provides a safe, loving, and comforting home to foster children on one of the most difficult days of their lives: removal day. The mission of Isaiah 117 House is threefold: reduce trauma for children awaiting placement, lighten the load for child welfare services, and ease the transition for foster families
The Orchard has started to partner with Isaiah 117 House by having members of our congregation go through the training to be a volunteer in the home. We have also provided Appreciation Bags through Isaiah 117 to the Department of Children's Services
case workers.

Red Tub Day (MFCC)
Red Tub Day is a community celebration for children and foster families in the Memphis area, providing them with Christmas presents and a fun-filled day to make each child feel special. It is put on by the Memphis Family Connection Center (MFCC) at the beginning of December.
The Orchard has partnered with MFCC on Red Tub Day for the past few years by setting up a Christmas booth to give away popcorn and toys. We are also going to start sponsoring Red Tubs.

Threads of Hope
Threads of Hope is a clothing boutique that provides new or very gently used clothing for foster families, free of charge. Many children come into foster care with no clothing whatsoever, and this ministry is able to give the children the dignity that they deserve.
The Orchard is continuously collecting clothing donations for Threads of Hope and we now have our own clothing closet located in the Children's Ministry area.
