Day 15 - Jenny Beyl

Do you ever struggle with comparing your testimony with someone else's? Sometimes I'll catch myself thinking my story isn't as interesting as another’s. Still, God has a way of reminding me that each person's journey is a revelation of His miraculous work in each of our lives, and every story is for His glory, no matter how simple or complex. It's encouraging to hear the spiritual journeys of others, but their stories are not what saves us. Only God alone can save us; we all need to believe and know Him personally.

Such is the example we read when Jesus encounters the Samaritan woman at the well. This one encounter with Jesus was life-changing, so much so that she ran to tell others of her personal experience with Him. When they heard her story, they all came to meet Him, and they believed for themselves, saying, "It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this is indeed the Savior of the world." (John 4:42)

God is the only one that can give us ears to hear and eyes to see who He is. Romans 10:17 tells us that "Faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the Word of Christ." When His Word completely transforms us, it is something to rejoice in and tell others! Let this be an encouragement to share your story. You may never know the outcome, but you can trust that God will use your testimony to help others believe.
