Day 22 - John Nix

Christmas reminds us of Jesus' invitation for us to share in His life. When we accept Jesus' invitation, our lives are transformed. We become more loving, patient, and kind. We are better able to handle life's ups and downs. In short, we become more like Christ. Here are three ways that Jesus changes everything.

1. Jesus Changes Our Relationship with God 

Before we had a relationship with Jesus, we were enemies of God because of our sins (Romans 5:10). But when we put our faith in Jesus, He reconciles us to God and makes us His children (John 1:12-13). This means we can approach Him confidently because we know that He loves us and has forgiven us (Hebrews 4:16).

2. Jesus Changes Our Priorities 

We realize that this life is not all there is—there is an eternity waiting for us, so we want to make sure as many people as possible hear the good news of the Gospel and are prepared for what comes next (2 Corinthians 5:20).

3. Jesus Changes Our Purpose 

We no longer live for ourselves—we live for Him (2 Corinthians 5:15). We have a purpose now: to glorify God in all we do (1 Corinthians 10:31).
